HAMMERFALL Film Video For New Single 'Blood Bound'
December 6, 2004HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"Last week, we recorded a video for the first single, 'Blood Bound'. It, like the cover art of the release, will have a winter theme. I haven't seen anything from the session yet, and it's hard to tell what it will be like from the session only; everything was shot in front of green screens. As was the case with 'Hearts On Fire', they will insert us into computerized backgrounds. Done by the same team as last time — Roger Johansson working together with Alex Hansson and Tussilago — they tell us this will be another video worth over a million SEK (but we pay only a fraction of that, of course). Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to seeing a first version of it, shouldn't be long now!
"The cover for the single is also finished now, drawn by the same guy as the past couple of releases: Samwise Didier. The colors are blueish, bright and cold, and the logo has iceicles hanging from it. In my opinion, it looks absolutely amazing, and I'm sure you will think so too. We will unleash it right here on the site on December 15th, and you won't be able to see it anywhere else before that."
HAMMERFALL's as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2002's "Crimson Thunder" will be released on March 7 (most of Europe),March 8 (U.S.) and March 9 (Sweden) through Nuclear Blast Records. The "Blood Bound" single will precede the album on January 31. Other tracks set to appear on the CD include "Born to Rule", "Hammer of Justice", "The Templar Flame", "Take the Black", "Fury of the Wild", "Secrets", "Never, Ever", "Imperial" and "Knights of the 21st Century".
